Aliesa George established Centerworks® Pilates in 1994. She received her initial Pilates training & certification through The Pilates Studio, New York, NY. Additional Matwork & Concentration 101 certifications were completed though The Physical/Mind Institute in Santa Fe, NM. Ms. George has studied with Romana Kryzanowska, Sari Pace, Ron Fletcher, Dianne Miller, Colleen Glenn, and David Mooney. Additional continuing education has been completed with; Dianne Miller, Ron Fletcher, Michelle Larsson, and Marika Molnar. Through association with the Pilates Method Alliance, Ms. George has also had the honor & opportunity to participate in continuing education with all of the Pilates “elders,” Mary Bowen, Ron Fletcher, Lolita San Miguel, and Cathy Grant all of whom studied directly with Joseph & Clara Pilates.The comprehensive teacher-training program developed by Ms. George was established in 1998. Aliesa is a Continuing Education Provider for the American Council on Exercise offering Pilates training courses and workshops. She has lectured and provided workshops throughout the region to physical therapists, athletic trainers, fitness professionals, personal trainers, dancers, runners, ice skaters and the local community. Prior to opening the studio, her background included seven years as a Fitness Specialist and Aerobic Coordinator for Health Strategies, Inc. a hospital-based wellness facility, twenty years in USGF gymnastics as a competitor, coach and team choreographer. Aliesa holds additional certifications though ACE as a Personal Trainer and Aerobic Instructor. She is also a certified by the International Institute of Oriental Medicine as an instructor of Bigu Qigong for weight loss/weight management. Other professional affiliations include memberships with the Physical Mind Institute, IDEA, and The Pilates Method Alliance. Back to Top
Yee-Mei Wong

Mei is the Administrative Services Manager and a Pilates Instructor at Centerworks®. She began her Pilates education as a client in 2001, and discovered that it was such a great exercise program, she wanted to learn more. Mei began her Teacher Education Program at Centerworks® in the Spring of 2002 and has been teaching in the studio since the Summer of 2002. Mei has also participated in workshops & continuing education classes with Master Instructors Ron Fletcher and Dianne Miller. Prior to teaching at Centerworks®, Mei was a Personal Trainer and a Membership Services Associate at the YMCA. She worked as a Graduate Assistant and Facilities & Student Supervisor while completing her degrees at Wichita State University. She has been an athlete most of her life, a runner, competitive fencer, dancer and now a Shaolin Wushu student. Other related qualifications are NDEITA Personal Training Certification and ACE Group Fitness Instructor Certification.
Joy Manley
BS - Education

Joy currently teaches Pilates part-time at Centerworks® Pilates, and also offers Mat Classes at the YMCA in El Dorado, Kansas. She began as a Pilates student with Ms. George in 1996 to help her own scoliosis and knee problems. Both have improved dramatically. She completed instructor training through the Centerworks® Pilates Teacher-Training Program at Flinthills Physical Conditioning in 1999. She has also completed Mat Certification through the Physical/Mind Institute. Joy has attended additional training courses with Master Teachers Ron Fletcher and Dianne Miller, and continuing education workshops with Michelle Larsson and Colleen Glenn. She is a member of IDEA and The Pilates Method Alliance.
Jamie Tabor
Jamie is currently starting her apprenticeship for System training. She believes that if everyone practiced Pilates, the world would be a happier place. She has completed Beginner & Intermediate Matwork training and will begin teaching Mat classes for the faculty at Wichita State University for the Fall 2003 semester. Jamie is a woman of many talents. She has studied a variety of subjects at the college level including; chemistry, philosophy & human behavior. Jamie has an athletic background in competitive swimming. She has taught lifesaving & water safety instruction, and has had the opportunity to work with both children & adults with disabilities and/or fear of the water for swimming instruction. Ms. Tabor is also a licensed cosmetologist & entrepreneur with her own line of products. She has participated in workshops with Dianne Miller for continuing education in the Pilates system, and is a member of IDEA and the Pilates Method Alliance.
